Some mountain towns love to boast that they are a place where time stands still. In Breckenridge, the only thing standing still are the people posing for pictures. Breckenridge was born out of the rowdy gold rush of the 1860s, spent its childhood in prohibition, its teen years in the 1960s, and reached maturity at the turn of this century. Our town may still have that Old West feel but there's something going on all the time. Breckenridge will never be a place that stands still. It's what makes this place so fun.
