The Inn is just a 15-minute drive south to the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Train Station and most of the major restaurants, art galleries, and great shopping. Also, its only a 20-minute drive north to Durango Mountain Resort (formerly Purgatory Ski Resort), a great place to ski in the winter and to enjoy classical music with Music in the Mountains, hike, take the Alpine Slide, or have a picnic. While at the Apple Orchard Inn, enjoy mountain views, beautiful flower gardens and award-winning landscaping complete with trout ponds, waterfalls and streams. Each day starts with a full hearty breakfast prepared for each guest. All baked goods and jam is homemade "from scratch." Triple Chocolate Chip cookies are baked daily and are always available to guests. Complimentary wine and beer, as well as soft drinks, lemonade and iced tea and snacks are served each afternoon and evening. Gourmet dinners are also available at the Inn with advance reservations. |

| Each of the guest rooms and cottages is uniquely trimmed with exquisite hardwoods and features elegant country furnishings. Each guest room and cottage has a luxurious featherbed and comforter, private bath, vanity with a second sink, and handcrafted armoire. For those romantic getaways, the Apple Orchard Inn offers the master bedroom in the house and three cottages with fireplaces, oversized whirlpool bathtubs, and king-size beds. In addition, each cottage has a covered porch with rockers and swings, and four cottages have private patios. There is a hot tub located outside on the patio between the main house and the cottages which is always available for the guests' use.
